Let’s hang out for a while.
New to my corner of the internet?
Live creatively. Live courageously.
That seems to be my mantra lately. Maybe it should be yours, too.
I’m pretty passionate about helping people to live, not fearlessly, but courageously in spite of fear. It’s kinda my jam. My corner of the internet? It’s a place of encouragement. It’s a place of hope. It’s a place that I hope you leave feeling a little bit stronger in this journey. Trust me, I’ve been there; this fear thing is not worth your time. It’s time to start living with courage and I’d love to walk the path with you.
Let me start with saying I know what it’s like to fight for courage in various seasons and areas of life. To name a few…
- Chronic illness//
Since I was 12 years old, I’ve dealt with Crohn’s Disease and, eventually, Ulcerative Colitis, which led me to remove my entire colon in 2014. Yup. I’m colon-less. Pretty cool, right? *awkward silence*
- Depression and Anxiety//
When I was a freshman in college, fear literally struck me overnight and y’all, it’s been HARD. I’m daily learning what it means to walk in courage in spite of this.
- Life Transitions //
I’ve gone through housing transitions, school transitions, friend transitions, health transitions, and just basic “adulting” transitions that have taken a toll on me mentally and physically. (You, too? No? Just me?)
- Messy Relationships//
We’ve all been there, right? Friendship fallouts, fights, and frustrations; learning what it means to love your family and friends well; dealing with compromising romantic relationships in an effort to fill the lonely, single-girl void. And then feeling wrecked emotionally because of all these things. The struggle is real.
I want to be real clear on what this space is about: Courage. It has taken a whole lot of courage and a whole lot of Jesus to get through all that stuff. Here, I’m sharing those stories; all with the hope that you can find the courage you need to overcome what overwhelms you.
